Clayton Fink Real Estate

Clayton Fink has been at the Lake for a long time. His parents bought a resort on the Gravois arm in
1961 when they moved here from Iowa. A graduate of Versailles High School as Valedictorian, then
a degree at Kansas University in Architectural Engineering proved to be a valuable background to
bring to the real estate business at the Lake.

Clayton H. Fink & Associates, Inc. was formed by Clayton in 1972 when the first office was opened at
the Family resort, Kozy Kove. The office was moved to Laurie the next year where a corner room
was rented from Midway Electric. This was the first office on the highway. After two years it got so
crowded that buyers actually had to wait outside because other buyers were in the tiny room writing
a contract. This convinced Clayton to buy a building.

Purchasing it and the site in 1975, the new Laurie office relieved the space constrictions for a while.
Starting with the south office - then taking the next office - ten finally the entire to floor of the building
as business progressed.

A second office was opened in 1987 in Greenview at the intersection of Highways 5 and 7. A third
office was opened in 1998 on Highway 5 in Gravois Mills.

In 1991, the sales force in Laurie had, again outgrown their space. Therefor the Laurie office was
expanded and renovated to an essentially new facility. With the addition of the space it was hoped to
provide plenty of room for years.

With the deaths of both of Clayton's parents just after commencing construction on the new facility in
Laurie, the facility was rededicated to Donald and Helen Fink because of the tremendously
supportive roles thy both played in the success of the business.

Clayton has seen some tremendous changes here at the Lake since arriving in 1961. The changes
have been extremely good for the firm and he has constantly strived for integrity and knowledgeable
service in the business.
